Notifications issued by District Magistrates and Commissioners and Subordinate Officers are also published in the Gazette. Every effort is made to ensure that all notifications issued by the Government are published in the Gazette.

All Gazettes are printed in English as well as in Punjabi language. Copies of Gazettes are supplied to all Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners, District Attorneys and other officers for their information and use.

They are also sent to libraries throughout the Province for reference purposes. Copies are also sold to the public at Messrs Lawrence & Mayo’s Stores at Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan and at Gulab Devi Hospital Lahore. The price of each copy is one anna.
