Gazette Office In Rajasthan

The Gazette Office is the Official Government Recorder of all Notices, Proclamations, and Orders issued by the Government of Rajasthan. The Gazette is also an Authorized Government Newspaper in which various notifications are published.

The Government of Rajasthan uses the Gazette for publishing various types of notifications such as Administrative Orders, Appointments, Tenders & Notices, Resolutions & Ordinances, Statutory Rules & Regulations, among others.

Notifications published in the Gazette have legal sanctity and must be adhered to by all concernedAuthorities have been vested with the responsibility of preparing, printing, and publishing the Rajasthan Gazette.

The Directorate of Printing & Stationery is the Nodal Agency for publication of matter in the Rajasthan Gazette and its subordinate offices located at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Kota are print centers for publication of matter in the Gazette.

Matter to be Published in the Gazette:

All Notices/Proclamation/Orders issued by competent authority under any law for public notification shall be published in the Rajasthan Gazette.

The matters that are required by law to be published in the Rajasthan Gazette or which it is considered necessary to publish for general information are as follows:—

1) Resolutions and Ordinances of Local Authorities;

2) Statutory Rules and Regulations made by State Legislature or other Competent Authority;

3) 4[ court-fees ) rules ];

4) 5 [(Name of gram panchayat)]-nigam’s ([name of panchayat])-(procedure for holding elections ) order;

5) Names and addresses of important functionaries like Commissioner/ Secretary/ District Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/ Joint Commissioner/ etc.;

6) Administrative Orders issued by different Departments;

7) Tenders & Notices relating to proposal invited by various Departments through open competition;

8) Appointments made /notice issued by Public Service Commission relating to direct recruitment on All India Services or State services or Subordinate services including those made on compassionate grounds;

9) Recruitment rules notified by different recruiting authorities;

10)Any information which the Government may consider necessary or useful for wider dissemination; and

11) Such other matters as may be prescribed.

The matters specified above are required to be or may be published in the Gazette Office In Rajasthan . The officials concerned should see that these matters arepublished in time so that people at large may have access to them and act accordingly. Legal action can be initiated against officials who do not publish time-bound matters in the Gazette. Publishing matter late causes public inconvenience and hence should be avoided.
